The Jacksonville Jaguars have been on a downward spiral ever since their comeback wild card victory over the Chargers in January of 2023. Coming into the 2025 offseason, they hired a new GM in James Gladstone and HC Liam Cohen. Cohen headed a Buccaneers’ offense in 2024 that exceeded all expectations and he is looking to allow Trevor Lawrence to take that next step.
Tennessee Titans 2025 Season Preview
This past offseason may have helped them expedite the process. If they have their quarterback of the future, the other pieces will start to fall in place. After finishing with the worst record in football, nobody is expecting Tennessee to be in the playoff picture, but there is hope that there will be evident progress. In a weaker AFC South, they may be able to steal an extra win or two above expected.
Indianapolis Colts 2025 Season Preview
The Indianapolis Colts have been caught in somewhat of a purgatory of mediocrity. The flashes of greatness from Anthony Richardson in his brief rookie season did not carry over into his second stint. So much so that this upcoming year is make or break for the young QB in Indianapolis. Consistency from play callers and a weaker secondary have been some of the more noticeable reasons for the Colts’ struggles.
Houston Texans 2025 Season Preview
The Houston Texans have built a talented nucleus to begin competing in the AFC for the foreseeable future. In 2024, injuries to key skill position players and a terrible offensive line caused their season to end earlier than they would have liked. They have benefited from playing in a weak division, but with the other teams improving, they cannot afford to plateau.

The Baltimore Ravens seem to be one of the handful of AFC teams that cannot get over the hump of winning a Super Bowl despite having one of the best rosters in the league. They have had two MVP seasons from Lamar Jackson and one of the best defenses for years.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been notoriously floating just at or above .500 for the last handful of years. It seems as though no matter how bad the quarterback play or the offense is as a whole, Mike Tomlin and his defenses find a way to win at least 9 games. They will have to truly pull off a miracle in 2025 to reach that 9-win mark. Their offense will likely be around as productive as they were in 2024, while their defense may take a slight step back due to departures and age regression.
Cincinnati Bengals 2025 Season Preview
The Cincinnati Bengals had a historic combination of good offense and bad defense in 2024. The mismanagement of contract negotiations by Bengals’ brass has only worsened during the offseason. Trey Hendrickson wants out as the team is nowhere near matching his contract demands and Shemar Stewart is not reporting to camp due to them not wanting to guarantee any future money. It looks as though their defense will be just as bad, if not worse than they were last season.
