This past offseason may have helped them expedite the process. If they have their quarterback of the future, the other pieces will start to fall in place. After finishing with the worst record in football, nobody is expecting Tennessee to be in the playoff picture, but there is hope that there will be evident progress. In a weaker AFC South, they may be able to steal an extra win or two above expected.

Trades: he main trade the Titans made was to send LB Kenneth Murray Jr. to the Cowboys in a salary dump. Murray had trouble in both Tennessee and Los Angeles as the starting MIKE LB, so his loss will not be too much of a negative.

Departures: The team also parted ways with QB Mason Rudolph, WRs Tyler Boyd & Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, IOL Dillon Radunz, EDGE Harold Landry, LB Jerome Baker, LB Luke Gifford, LB Raekwon McMillan, CBs Chidobie Awuzie & Daryl Worley, and SAF Quandre Diggs. While many of these guys saw serious action and will need to be replaced, the departures were necessary.

Additions: As a struggling team not expected to be competitive, it is not easy to bring in big-name free agents. They managed to sign LB Cody Barton to a three-year deal and OT Dan Moore Jr. to a four-year deal. They agreed to one-year contracts with WRs Tyler Lockett & Van Jefferson, IOL Kevin Zeitler, LB Dre’Mont Jones, and SAF Xavier Woods.

Draft Selections: The Tennessee Titans put together one of my favorite draft classes in 2025. They took Cam Ward with the 1st overall pick, who may not have been the best player in the class, but they needed a quarterback. In the 2nd round, they took a late bloomer and fast riser in UCLA EDGE Oluwafemi Oladejo. They managed to snag a 1st round talent in the 3rd round in SAF Kevin Winston Jr. due to a season-ending injury. Other valuable selections include TE Gunnar Helm, WR Elic Ayomanor, and IOL Jackson Slater.

Season Predictions: The Titans start their season on the road in the Mile High City against the Broncos. They then return home for two contests against the Rams and Colts before closing out September against the Texans on the road. The Titans go 1-3 in September.

The Titans stay on the road for most of October as the first two games of the month are away from home against the Cardinals and Raiders. They return to Tennessee to host the Patriots and then travel to face the Colts. The Titans go 1-3 in this stretch.

November opens up at home against the Chargers before a Week 10 bye. They return from the bye with a lengthy homestand that features the Texans, Seahawks, and Jaguars. Tennessee goes 1-3 in November.

The final stretch of the season starts in Cleveland against the Browns before they travel to the west coast to face the 49ers. They return home to host the Chiefs and Saints, then travel to Jacksonville to close the season against the Jaguars. The Titans go 2-3 in this final stretch of games.

Final Thoughts: I have the Tennessee Titans finishing the 2025 season with a record of 5-12. While this is certainly a bad record, it is progress and could be enough to let the organization know that Cam Ward is their QB of the future.
