School: Oregon
Class: Redshirt Senior
Position: OT
HT: 6’8
WT: 318 lbs
Background: Isaiah World was a 3-star offensive tackle out of San Diego, CA. World played for Lincoln High School, where he was a top 150 offensive tackle and top 200 player in California in the 2021 class. World played both sides of the ball for Lincoln and had 81 tackles as a senior. Isaiah World committed to Nevada over Arizona, Arizona State, and others.
College: Isaiah redshirted as a freshman in 2021 and became a starter for the Wolfpack in 2022, playing a majority of snaps at right tackle with a good amount of left tackle reps sprinkled in. World started every game for Nevada in 2023 at left tackle and was an All-Mountain West honorable mention selection. World, once again, started every game for Nevada in 2024. He was named an All-Mountain West honorable mention selection for the second straight year. After a few great seasons at Nevada, World transferred to Oregon. In his one year with the Ducks, World was an All-Big 10 Second Team selection.
Strengths: Isaiah World has ideal size for an offensive tackle. His long arms allow for him to strong arm edge rushers in the phone booth. He keeps his shoulders square to maintain optimal position against defenders, causing them to get lost in their rush. In pass protection, he establishes a wide base, forming an impenetrable anchor. Along with his size and strength, World has an elite athletic profile. He is a twitchy athlete who can move to the second level of the defense efficiently. He has the twitch and athleticism to create for quick recovery time when he is initially beat in pass protection.
Weaknesses: World’s technique seems to come and go depending on the week. Sometimes he is unbeatable, other times he seems to be lost. His hand placement comes and goes, allowing defenders to get under his pads and into his chest. World also seems to give up on plays before they are over. His effort lowers slowly over the course of a play. World tore his ACL in the playoff game against Indiana. This will cause him to miss all pre-draft workouts and likely cause him to slide dramatically in the draft.
Conclusion: Isaiah World has all the physical traits of a world class offensive tackle. His athleticism is evident to go along with his elite measurables. If technique can become more of a consistent focus, he will be a hard man to beat around the edge.
