School: Miami

Class: Junior

Position: OT

HT: 6’6

WT: 335 lbs

Background: Francis Mauigoa was born and raised in Ili’Ili, American Samoa. He played his freshman and sophomore years in Pago Pago at Tafuna High School before transferring to IMG Academy. Mauigoa was a consensus 5-star recruit and the top ranked offensive tackle in the class. Mauigoa was selected to both the Under Armour All-American Game and the Polynesian Bowl. Francis committed to Miami over Tennessee, USC, Florida, and Alabama.

College: Mauigoa started all 13 games at right tackle as a true freshman in 2023. He was named an All-ACC honorable mention after being one of the team’s better linemen. He was also named a Freshman All-American by multiple outlets. 2024 was an improvement as Mauigoa was a brick wall at right tackle. Francis was named to the All-ACC Second Team in his sophomore campaign. As a junior in 2025, Mauigoa was a key piece of an offensive line that got Miami to an appearance in the national championship game. He was named an All-ACC First Team member and an All American by numerous outlets.

Strengths: Francis Mauigoa is a dense and powerful offensive tackle. He has the size to completely absorb bull rushes with the athleticism to keep up with the quick twitch edge rushers. The mass on Mauigoa is typical of an interior offensive lineman, but his technique and athleticism represent those of an offensive tackle. He has the recovery speed on the outside to keep rushers in front of him. His punches land so accurately and with such power that they completely knock defenders off their rush.

Weaknesses: Mauigoa plays with an inconsistent pad level. If you see him get beat around the edge, it was almost certainly due to him playing too high. He needs to establish a wider base or he will be booted to the interior at the next level. When Mauigoa does set an anchor, he tends to open his inside shoulder up too much. Defenders seem to have a better time attacking the interior on him.

Conclusion: Francis Mauigoa is one of the most physically dominant players in the 2026 NFL Draft. His profile projects him to play all over the offensive line. His dominance at left tackle should allow him a long leash at the position in the NFL. With that being said, Mauigoa could experience just as much success on the interior.
