School: Alabama
Class: Redshirt Senior
Position: IOL
HT: 6’5
WT: 325 lbs
Background: Jaeden Roberts was a 4-star interior offensive lineman in the 2021 class out of Houston, Texas. Roberts was a top 50 player in Texas and top 25 player at the position. Roberts played for North Shore High School, where he won a state championship as a junior. Roberts participated in the Under Armour All-American Game after his senior season. Jaeden Roberts committed to Alabama out of high school over a wide range of other SEC schools.
College: Roberts did not see the field much in ‘21 or ‘22. In 2023, Roberts became a starter for the Crimson Tide. Roberts started 12 games at right guard for Alabama in 2024. He didn’t take the expected leap in 2025, but he was still a solid force for the Crimson Tide offensive line.
Strengths: Jaeden Roberts generates power with each step. When he gets into the open space as a run blocker, he hits his landmarks with devastating power. He mauls through defenses to create extended rushing lanes. In pass protection, he uses his long arms to keep defenders at bay. He has a strong initial punch to generate significant knockback, taking players off their rush. He uses that strength in recovery to suction his opponent back into the fight. His anchor cements his feet to the ground, he rarely gets knocked back more than a step. His ability to combat opponents on his own allows his teammates to focus on other assignments, keeping the pocket clean for an extended period of time.
Weaknesses: Roberts is a clumsy mover with heavy feet. Every step exerts a high level of energy. He doesn’t handle stunts or twists at the line of scrimmage well. He is a slow processor and can get caught on his heels when disguised looks come across his face. When he gets into recovery mode, his punches become inaccurate and ineffective.
Conclusion: Jaeden Roberts has the strength to win as a guard in the NFL. He can hold his own on the interior and keep the quarterback’s vision clear. He displaces defenders in open space as a lead blocker in the running game. He has the strength to start right away at the next level, but his processing speed needs to improve in order for him to be reliable.
