School: Texas

Class: Redshirt Junior

Position: TE

HT: 6’4

WT: 240 lbs

Background: Jack Endries was a 3-star tight end out of Danville, CA, where he played for Monte Vista High School. Endries was low ranking recruit as some outlets did not rank him at all. Over 16 games in his final two seasons at Monte Vista, Endries totaled 77 receptions for 1,055 yards and 15 touchdowns. As a senior, Endries was named to the MaxPreps All-State Third Team. Endries also played basketball and baseball for Monte Vista. Jack Endries chose to walk on for Cal after high school.

College: Endries spent 3 years at Cal, redshirting in 2022 and then starting every game in the following 2 seasons. In 2024, Endries led the team in receiving yards with 623 yards, earning honorable mention All-ACC honors. After a prolific season at Cal, Endries transferred to the SEC to play for Texas. In his one year with the Longhorns, Endries posted 33 receptions for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Strengths: Endries is a natural hands catcher. He is able to haul in footballs away from his frame, giving his quarterback a larger and more friendly target. Endries has proven that he can produce all over the offense in terms of his alignment. He lines up both in the slot and on the line, making plays from both positions. Endries is a sharp runner for a tight end, creating separation consistently. He is a high football IQ player who consistently finds the weak spots in zone coverage to wait for the football. Endries can also win with speed. He can outrun coverage linebackers up the seam to create vertical separation down the field. As an in-line blocker, Endries is reliable as a pass protector. He has a strong base and does not easily get knocked back.

Weaknesses: While Endries is an effective pass blocker, he struggles as a run blocker where he has to finish an assignment and then climb to the second level. Endries is not overly creative or elusive with the ball in his hands. Yards after the catch or relatively limited with him.

Conclusion: Jack Endries is a reliable tight end with soft hands and a large catch radius. He can win in a variety of ways. His ability to separate is special for a tight end. His blocking technique will need refinement, but that is coachable.
