School: Oregon

Class: Redshirt Senior

Position: IOL

HT: 6’5

WT: 318 lbs

Background: Emmanuel Pregnon was an unrecruited offensive lineman out of Denver, Colorado in the 2020 recruiting class. Pregnon played both sides of the ball at Jefferson High School, totaling 51 tackles as a senior.

College: Pregnon started his collegiate career at Wyoming and did not appear in a game for the Cowboys until is redshirt freshman season of 2022. Pregnon was named a Freshman All-American after starting all 11 games and only allowing 2 sacks on the year. After such a standout campaign, Emmanuel transferred to USC. Over 2 seasons for the Trojans, Pregnon started all of the possible 25 games and did not allow a sack in 2024. He was named an All-Big 10 Second Team member after his prolific season. For his final year of eligibility, Pregnon transferred to Oregon. In his one season with the Ducks, Pregnon was an All-Big 10 First Team selection and an All-American after dominating on the interior.

Strengths: Emmanuel Pregnon seeks out the physicality and contact at the line of scrimmage. He asserts his physical dominance and will on each snap. As a pass protector, Pregnon has a firm anchor and does not allow bull rushes to get through him. He uses his long arms and heavy hands to knock defenders off their rush and keep them at bay in the phone booth. His hands and subsequent punches are incredibly quick on top of being heavy, often overwhelming his assignments. As a run blocker, he displaces his initial assignments before climbing to the second level and hitting his landmarks quickly.

Weaknesses: Pregnon’s athleticism does not jump off the tape. He does not have the elite lateral agility that is looked for in the top offensive line prospects. When he gets beat, it is consistently those quick twitch edge rushers who stunt to the inside tend to beat him.

Conclusion: Emmanuel Pregnon is a stable presence on the interior. He is an older prospect but he provides a veteran presence for a player on a rookie contract. He will be a starting guard immediately and has the ceiling to become an All-Pro.
