The Arizona Cardinals are looking to make a push for the playoffs behind a minor retool around QB Kyler Murray in hopes of finally getting him to the postseason. They had one of my favorite offseasons in the entire NFL by re-signing their current talent and bringing in new names to build depth at key positions.

Departures: Arizona did not lose too much talent in the offseason. WR Zach Pascal, OT Jackson Barton, IOL Trystan Colon, IOL Will Hernandez, LB Kyzir White, EDGE Dennis Gardeck, EDGE Julian Okwara, DL Naquan Jones, DL Roy Lopez, and DL Khyiris Tonga will be on different teams.

Additions: They brought in QB Jacoby Brissett, EDGE Josh Sweat, DL Dalvin Tomlinson, and LB Akeem Davis-Gaither to multi-year contracts. Those defensive additions really fill out the roster to make them a defense you have to take seriously. On one-year contracts, they brought in WR Simi Fehoko, DE Calais Campbell, and LB Mykal Walker to provide valuable depth in rotational capacities.

Draft Selections: In the draft, Arizona took one of my favorite defensive linemen in Ole Miss DL Walter Nolen. He has a chance to completely change the way the defensive front produces as a rookie. In the second round, they took Michigan CB Will Johnson. Johnson has the talent of a top 5 player in the class, but the medicals clearly scared teams enough to let him fall to the second round. If he can stay healthy, Will Johnson will be the steal of the draft. I also loved the slot value they got with EDGE Jordan Burch and CB Denzel Burke.

Season Predictions: The Cardinals start the season on the road against the Saints, come home to host the Panthers, go up north to play the 49ers, and close the month at home against the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. I have the Arizona Cardinal starting the season 3-1.

They start the month of October at home against the Titans, hit the road to play the Colts, and return home to host the Packers before a Week 8 bye. The Cardinals will go 2-1 in October.

November begins with two road games against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football and against the Seahawks before returning home to host the 49ers and Jaguars. They close out the month in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers. I have the Cardinals going 3-2 in November.

The final stretch of the season sees the Cardinals host the Rams, travel to play the Texans, host the Falcons, and close the season with two road games against the Bengals and Rams. The Cardinals go 2-3 in this stretch.

Final Thoughts: I have the Arizona Cardinals going 10-7 in 2025, which may be enough to get them into the playoffs. This would be a huge improvement from last year. With all the additions and young talent on the roster, I like the Cardinals to win 10 games and for Jonathan Gannon to win Coach of the Year.
